Introduction

Templates are your basic documents that serve as templates for legal documents and contracts. On these Word documents you have the option to add pieces of code, so when a contract or legal document for an employee or company manager is generated, the data is entered automatically . You are also able to generate digital signatures.

Create a template

To create a template, select CREATE TEMPLATE at the top left:

You will be taken to the following page:

1. Type: you can choose between a contract or a legal document. Depending on your selection, a list of codes will appear which you can insert in your word document.

We call these codes Keywords, which you can enter in a Word document in places where you want information to be entered by CrewPlanner with known data. The keywords must be copied and inserted exactly as they appear in this list. Although both keyword lists for legal documents and contracts appear the same, this is not the case. So make sure you select the correct type and place the keywords on your document.

2. Name: this is the name one will see when receiving a legal document or contract.

3. Language: if necessary, select the language of the type of document you wish to create. If everyone should receive the same document regardless of language, select English when creating a document. If you need different languages, create a template for each language.

4. Choose file: after you have added these keywords to your document, select this file here. Your master document must be a word document with the extension .docx.

5. Save: lastly, select this to save your document.

CrewTip! You are able to add an electronic signature to your legal document or contract. In this article you discover how.

CrewTip! If you delete a template, this will also delete your contract layout or the legal document linked to the template. Already existing documents, will be kept in DOCUMENTS.
