Introduction

To further automate your processes in CrewPlanner, and to be able to assign new managers swiftly with the correct permissions, permission presets can be used. This allows you to create presets of the permissions you wish to assign to a manager. You can create multiple presets so you can easily invite your different types of managers without the need to select the correct permissions each time.

Create permission presets

Before you are able to create a permission preset, you will have to ensure the permission to manage permission presets has been activated in your profile.

Once this permission has been activated, PERMISSION PRESETS will appear in the SETTINGS menu. Select this and the following page opens:

To create a preset you select the button CREATE PERMISSION PRESETS on top of the page:

This opens the following page where:

You complete the name for this permission preset.
You then you tick the permissions you want this preset to include.
As soon as you press SAVE, the permission preset will be created.

CrewTip! Tick the box next to the subject heading, to select all related permissions at once:

Edit permission presets

Once you have created a permission preset, you can edit it at any time by navigating to the PERMISSION PRESETS page via SETTINGS. In the preset overview you select the pencil icon on the right of to the permission preset:

This opens the permission preset page, where you can edit the name and tick or untick the permissions you want to amend.

Once all necessary changes have been made, you select SAVE.

Delete permission presets

If you no longer need a permission preset, it is best to delete it to make it easier to find those you do still use. To do so, you navigate to the PERMISSION PRESETS page where you find the bin icon to the right of your presets:

Select the bin icon next to the preset you want to remove and as soon as you have confirmed, the preset will be deleted:

Apply permission presets

Once permission presets have been created, any manager with the permission to manage team members and permissions, will be able to apply them. To do so, you navigate to the MANAGERS page in SETTINGS:

When inviting or adding a manager, you will notice the drop-down PRESET PERMISSIONS in which you can select your preset and select save.

However, you do maintain the option to make additional changes to manager permissions at any time.
